Both laptops must be on the same local network (such as the same Wi-Fi router or a mobile hotspot) for the transfer to succeed, though the transfer itself uses absolutely zero internet bandwidth.
Extract the downloaded ZIP folder. Both the sender and the receiver must double-click SonicByte.exe to open the local interface. Ensure your microphones are active.
The sender clicks "Select & Send File" and chooses a payload. The app generates a one-time 6-digit PIN and blasts an acoustic handshake into the room to alert nearby peers.
The receiver's laptop hears the sound and prompts for the PIN. Once entered, the computers establish a secure encrypted tunnel and stream the file directly over the local network.
